Mikveh Hummus

  • 1 large & 1 small container of arbas (chick peas) from the mikve
  • 1 cup of liquid from 1 can of chummus beans (this is just for the liquid, you can
  • use other liquid that you may enjoy)
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • juice from 1/2 lemon
  • 3/8c olive oil  (1/4 + 1/8)
  • 1/4c tehina
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Using a food processor, and add all the ingredients above.  Without the liquid or oil, it can heat up the food processor, so make sure there is some liquid by the blades and blend until desired consistency. Adjust seasonings as measurements are approximate. Goes great with “mikveh challah”!
